FAI

The Brief

As part of the Client’s Membership and Hospitality Programme, Club Ireland. We were tasked with adding brand activation to a members’ family event. The event centred on an important qualifying match with Gibraltar. The FAI position fan membership as being “the 12th man” of the Irish Football Team so wanted to reward loyal fans by giving them an experience of being a player in the match.

The Approach

As we wanted to simulate the on pitch, team experience for all guests, young and old and make it as engaging as possible, we installed our own Sports Simulator, an innovative system of play for a number of sports including soccer, which has competitive scoring capacity. We created a goal kick challenge where guests could test the exact skills and expertise of the Gibraltar goalkeeper. Former Ireland internationals, Richard Dunne and Jackie Hurley participated and compered the challenge.

We modified the graphics of the simulator to reflect the exact layout of the stadium along with replica advertising to reinforce supporting brands and sponsors. The event was held indoors at the Aviva Hospitality Suite so we ensure that safety features was a key component of the simulator surrounds and two supervisors ensured safe play.
