The Brief
With a varied staff profile, Microsoft wanted a universal event theme to suit all attendee tastes, was on trend and delivered spectacle and exuberance. Fusion Events was tasked with creating a vibrant, fun and inclusive company event where the entertainment delivered on the theme and contributed significantly to the overall look and feel.
The Approach
Cirque Extraordinaire!
The concept focused on old world carnival and traditional side show pageantry evoking the famous extravagance of the greatest shows on earth – a rousing non-stop, hive of activity and mystery. The event took place in the decadent Sam’s Bar, a contemporary and central venue complementing the theme. Simultaneous street theatre, including stilt walkers, bearded ladies and human furniture, side show performance such as snake charmers and mimes and a diverse range of musical acts, including charting recording artists, drove home the eclectic elements of the theme and the venue was further enhanced with circus style décor and drape.
The Results
The Client’s expectations were greatly exceeded, acknowledging the event as one of the best the organisation had enjoyed. All attendees engaged in the broad range of entertainment and Fusion Events continues to work with the client on a range of services.
